Case Study: Empowering Communication with Interactive Digital Signage at Ontario Power Generation
Challenge: Ontario Power Generation (OPG) faced the challenge of effectively disseminating crucial information, announcements, safety guidelines, and events within the complex environment of the nuclear plant. The traditional methods of communication were proving inefficient, leading to the need for an innovative and efficient solution.
Solution: Eflyn collaborated with OPG to create a comprehensive digital signage network that comprised interactive free-standing kiosks, wall-mountable displays, and a large video wall. The primary objective was to centralize content management and provide OPG with the capability to instantly display important information on the Eflyn screens. The deployment included floor-standing interactive kiosks, touch screen wall-mountable displays, and a 2×2 video wall featuring 55” commercial video wall panels. The content was seamlessly managed using the Eflyn ESuite Content Manager.
Results: The implementation of the ESuite Interactive Digital Signage Content Management System brought a revolution in communication for OPG. The centralized content streaming allowed for streamlined communication, ensuring that all employees received consistent and up-to-date information. OPG employees were trained to utilize the technology effectively, enabling them to create captivating announcement posters, videos, and other media content. Following the successful initial launch, OPG expanded the integration to employee meeting rooms, further enhancing communication and training sessions. To enhance the aesthetic appeal and integration with OPG’s environment, all kiosks were wrapped with custom-designed 3M Vinyl Wraps featuring OPG branding.
Eflyn’s solution not only met OPG’s communication challenges but also brought a dynamic and engaging way to convey important information to employees across the nuclear plant.
